Mayfield Robotics: Kuri
Kuri is…I mean was…an adorable personal robot that was designed to engage with kids by following simple commands like “read me a story” and “follow me around the house.” Kuri would map its environment (like a Roomba) and could avoid perils like stairs. Even though Kuri never made it off the testing floor, we still got to promote it at SXSW and make a bunch of social stuff.
