A copywriter with comma sense.
Good storytelling is finding the perfect tension between what you say and what you show. It's also about solving puzzles. And being an actor. And making an emotional connection with your audience.
My background is a little eclectic, but I think it gives me an edge: I started as a project manager at a pharma ad firm in SF, but quickly learned I wanted to be part of the process—not babysit it. I then put my grammar expertise to work as a copy editor for 15 years. But the best career decision I’ve made? Handing in my red pen to join the creative department as a copywriter. Sometimes I have to pinch myself to make sure I’m not dreaming.
I have degrees in philosophy and textile design, and I studied studio art and performing arts in London. My right/left brain is fairly well balanced, making me a great director of both people and processes.
